I have spent a lot of time recently telling you and showing you all about how lovely it is to come into my relaxing, calming home environment for your newborn photography session here with me in Poole, Dorset. So I thought I would show you a full newborn gallery so you get to see exactly what you end up with after your enjoyable experience with me. Rather than just the best shots , here are ALL the shots! :-) This gorgeous little one was just 6 days old when he came to see me. Newborn sessions usually take place around this age, depending on how you and you baby are after the birth, I try to book you in around day 7. These are the kind of images you can expect from your newborn session. You can choose which props and colours you like beforehand or when you get here. If you look through my newborn gallery you will see more examples of the props that I have and the type of shots that I can do for you. But please bear in mind that all babies are different, not all babies are sleepy the whole time, likewise some sleep the whole time. How ever your baby is whilst you are here, please do not worry , I will work with them and we will get some beautiful shots. Depending on how the session goes, and what final photographs you would like from your newborn photography session we usually have time to use 2 or 3 different props,to do some sleepy tummy shots, some feet shots and some parent or sibling shots if you would like some. If you would like to read more about having a newborn photography session with me , you can find out what to expect whilst you are here by reading a recent blog post I have written here. If you are expecting or have recently had a baby and would like to book a newborn photography session in with me at Samantha Prewett Photography, please contact me here.

It's that time of year again. Last year for the first time I managed to get down to the beautiful bluebell woods at Pamphill in Wimborne, Dorset for a photography session. This year I wanted to take my own children down there as it is about time I had a lovely big photo of them on my wall. I started getting messages from past clients about possible bluebell sessions a few weeks ago so I thought why not make an event out of it. And then my bluebell mini sessions were born. We met 2 other families down at Pamphill and spent a bit of time finding some lovely spots for the photographs. I am always careful not to crush the bluebells, unfortunately unlike some other people, as you could see where people had been walking on them. The children had an amazing evening, it was definitely an experience they will remember for a long time. And the other families enjoyed themselves too. I took both of my cameras and gave one to my children so they could have some fun capturing the bluebells too. Needless to say my son absolutely loved it and has not stopped going on about it ever since. He wants to be a photographer like Mummy and take photos of babies. Love him! He took some pretty good photos himself: The bluebells are only around for a few weeks so the window for these sessions is small. I am already looking forward to doing this all again next year. I was very pleased as I managed to get a beautiful photograph of my children (which is rare!) and I am going to put up on the wall. I have one last bluebell session this evening and then that is it for the year. I am still getting enquiries about them so if you are interested please feel free to join my mailing list and I will keep you updated for next year as they will book up fast. if you would like to read about last years bluebell session you can do so here.
