It's that time of year again. Last year for the first time I managed to get down to the beautiful bluebell woods at Pamphill in Wimborne, Dorset for a photography session. This year I wanted to take my own children down there as it is about time I had a lovely big photo of them on my wall. I started getting messages from past clients about possible bluebell sessions a few weeks ago so I thought why not make an event out of it. And then my bluebell mini sessions were born. We met 2 other families down at Pamphill and spent a bit of time finding some lovely spots for the photographs. I am always careful not to crush the bluebells, unfortunately unlike some other people, as you could see where people had been walking on them. The children had an amazing evening, it was definitely an experience they will remember for a long time. And the other families enjoyed themselves too. I took both of my cameras and gave one to my children so they could have some fun capturing the bluebells too. Needless to say my son absolutely loved it and has not stopped going on about it ever since. He wants to be a photographer like Mummy and take photos of babies. Love him! He took some pretty good photos himself: The bluebells are only around for a few weeks so the window for these sessions is small. I am already looking forward to doing this all again next year. I was very pleased as I managed to get a beautiful photograph of my children (which is rare!) and I am going to put up on the wall. I have one last bluebell session this evening and then that is it for the year. I am still getting enquiries about them so if you are interested please feel free to join my mailing list and I will keep you updated for next year as they will book up fast. if you would like to read about last years bluebell session you can do so here.

I first met the lovely Ethan at his newborn session here at Samantha Prewett Photography, back in July last year. A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing his family at his 6 month lifestyle session at their home. Look how much he has changed! I spent just over an hour at their home capturing some beautiful moments for them to treasure. Ethan's parents had some lovely clothes for him, as well as this adorable blanket that was made for him when he was born: We took some shots of Ethan on his own and some family photos during their session. When I visit a client for their lifestyle session , I like to have a look around to find the best places to take photos, especially being a natural light photographer. I was lucky enough to find a conservatory, which is the perfect place at this time of year. So we took most of the photos in there, but we also took some upstairs, as a bed usually makes a lovely location aswell. As indeed you can see here :-) It was such a pleasure to see how much he has grown in the past 6 months, and I am already looking forward to his 1 year session this July. I think Mummy and Daddy have a fun session planned, watch this space!
I first met this lovely family 3.5 years ago when I photographed their eldest as one of my first ever newborns, you may remember him as the little man with all the hair! I still get people commenting on his photo to this day. Then in January this year, their new addition came to see me for his baby session with almost as much hair. Two weeks ago I met them at one of my favourite locations for a family session. We spent an hour together capturing some beautiful memories of them all. During family photography sessions I usually tend to start off with a few family shots, then we go for a walk and a play to get some lovely natural shots of everyone as well as the children alone. Everyone always has a lot of fun. These are just a few of the beautiful shots that we got during our session, there are many more for them to choose from.
Family photography packages start from just £105. Please click here to visit my family photography page. This week I went on a beautiful walk to find the local bluebell woods. I have wanted to do a baby photography session or family photography session here for the past 3 years, and this year I made it! The bluebells at Pamphill, Wimborne were spectacular, there were many more than I expected there to be, and it proved to be a fun session indeed for the almost 2 year old that I took with me. I really would recommend visiting if you are local to Poole, Dorset in the next couple of weeks, it is really beautiful. I am offering specially priced family photography sessions there for the rest of April/beginning of May. Please get in touch if you are interested
