Easter is almost here! I cannot believe that I am writing this blog ALREADY. Hasn't it only just been the last school holiday?! I am sure every year goes quicker. Anyway, spring is finally starting to show its face and I am looking forward to the next school break. I hope you are too. As always, I have put together a list of FREE events and activities for your family this Easter break. FREE Easter craft event - Springbourne - 30th March 2026Join Grounded at Springbourne Library for a free family Make and Do session! Make pea-shoot seed gardens, plant sunflowers and create seed snails to take home The Make and Do activities will include making giant flowers to display in the library or take home, and decorating your newly planted seeds FREE Easter egg rolling - Dorchester- 6th April 2026Have you ever rolled an egg down a hill? No? We can't blame you - it's not something that happens often! Join in at this wacky Easter event and win prizes for your eggs! Easter Monday 6th April, from 9.30am on The Great Field 9.30am - 10.30am: Free egg decorating at Pips Poundbury 9.30am - 9.45am: Quiet Egg Rolling and decoration judging (SEND) 10am - 10.30am: Egg themed games on The Great field 10:30 am - 11:30 am: Egg Rolling and best decorated egg competition for the following age categories... 0-5 years, 5-10 years, 10-15 years, 15 years+, 60+ years (prizes to be won for each category). Bring your own decorated hard boiled egg or decorate for free at PIPs (no glitter please!) FREE Easter egg hunt - Bournemouth - 4th&5th April 2026Pop down to Bournemouth Pier amusements to take place in their free Easter egg hunt. FREE Easter craft session - Poole - 1st April 2026Easter Chick Crafts @ Poole Library Wednesday 1st April 10am - 11am A morning of crafting fun! Make your own easter chick decorations. This event is free of charge to attend and all materials will be provided. Suitable for children ages 4 - 10. Children under the age of 8 must be supervised by an adult at all times in the library. FREE Easter Events in Dorchester - 3rd - 6th April 2026The Great Egg-scape is running all through Easter Weekend. It’s the perfect way to burn off some pre chocolate energy and explore the Square with the whole family. Collect a form from the concierge office. Once you’ve spotted them all, head back to see us for a little chocolate treat. Friday 3rd April – Monday 6th April, 10am – 3pm Easter Fun in Lyme Regis - 2nd April 2026 2-3pmThe easter bunny will be making easter egg deliveries for children in a very unique way at the Mill, using an ancient sack hoist to transport the eggs through the mill! Running throughout the day and free of charge. There will be plenty to do at the Mill and on site throughout easter and the holidays with our many artisan shops and businesses open to explore, a variety of food & drink options, art gallery and beautiful millers garden to explore. For 8 - 12 year olds.
