FREE October half term/Halloween events and activities in Dorset

I don't know about you but Halloween is one of my favourite times of the year.
We decorate the house at start of October and look forward to doing lots of autumnal things and of course trick or treating!

I have put together a list of all FREE events and activities going on across Dorset this October half term.
I am super excited that Halloween is during the school holiday this year and at the weekend too, even better!!

Halloween at Brewery Square - Dorchester

Get ready for a spooktacular Halloween at Brewery Square!

From Tuesday 27 October to Saturday 31 October, come and join in the Halloween fun.

Vote for your favourite! Explore the spooky Halloween window displays and cast your vote for the best one.

Snap a selfie! Meet our fantastic community scarecrows and capture some Halloween memories. Don't forget to vote for the best scarecrow too! The winning entry wins £100 for a local charity or cause.

Trick or Treat! Visit participating businesses and see what spooky or sweet surprises are in store! Simply spot the trick or treat posters and head instore for a sweet treat, or a spooky surprise!

All treat no trick party at Bournemouth Life Centre - 31st October

​ALL TREAT no trick is an annual Halloween alternative. Everyone is welcome to come as they are and enjoy some games, crafts, entertainment and food and drink. All for FREE!
All ages are invited to drop by for an evening of fancy dress (optional) and fun (guaranteed)!

Christchurch BID Pumpkin Patch - 31th October 2026

Druitt Gardens (Dry weather), Druitt Hall (Wet weather).
Free children’s Pumpkin Patch
Children and their families can choose a pumpkin to take home. The autumnal-themed props make a perfect family photo opportunity.
Don't forget to take part in the Pumpkin Trail this Autumn.
The trail will guide you through the town centre and will run from 19th October - 1st November.

FREE Light Party - Corfe Mullen - 31st October

Light Party is coming up so soon! A safe and fun space for young families on Halloween Focussing on the light, you can rest assured there will be no scary-ness here.
