FREE October half term/Halloween events and activities in Dorset

I don't know about you but Halloween is one of my favourite times of the year.
We decorate the house at start of October and look forward to doing lots of autumnal things and of course trick or treating!

I have put together a list of all FREE events and activities going on across Dorset this October half term.
I am super excited that Halloween is during the school holiday this year and at the weekend too, even better!!

Christchurch BID Pumpkin Patch - 31th October 2026

Druitt Gardens (Dry weather), Druitt Hall (Wet weather).
Free children’s Pumpkin Patch
Children and their families can choose a pumpkin to take home. The autumnal-themed props make a perfect family photo opportunity.
Don't forget to take part in the Pumpkin Trail this Autumn.
The trail will guide you through the town centre and will run from 19th October - 1st November.

FREE fun at Brewery Square 28-31st October

PSST… have you heard? Ghosts are on the loose at Brewery Square!! 

The Square is haunted with tricks, treats and a ghostly trail for little adventurers.

Pick up your map from the Concierge Office, follow the spooky clues and see if you can catch them all… if you dare!

On Friday 31st, there is more fun!
 Face painting that transforms you into a mischievous monster or magical ghost
 Creepy- cool crafts to make and take home

Get ready to haunt the town! Whether you're a ghoul, witch, zombie, vampire, or something delightfully spooky, we want YOU to join the Halloween Parade and Trunk or Treat in full costume!
 Come creepy, come kooky, come magical or monstrous — just come ready to celebrate!
