First Birthday Photography

Your baby's first birthday is a huge milestone, and one you will want to remember. You may or may not be planning a party, but make sure whatever you do, you do it for you, as they will not remember it. 
It is absolutely incredible how much your little one has changed in their first year , they have learnt to do so much and are starting to show their own little personalities by now. Which is why it is so important to capture this special age to remember forever. 
I have a few options to choose from for your baby's first birthday photography session here at Samantha Prewett Photography in Dorset. 

Watermelon smash!

If you baby turns 1 in the summer months, a watermelon smash is the perfect natural healthy alternative to a cake smash photography session. These sessions take place outside, here at mine in Poole, Dorset. They follow the same idea as a cake smash but are a more natural alternative, and most babies love watermelon, they are more likely to get stuck in as they will probably be used to eating it rather than a huge cake! We can even do bath tub photos after to clean them up and get some more cute photos. The melon and decorations are included within the price, and if you choose the middle or top package, I can even include a printed vest for you to use and keep also. Family photography session

You do not have to have a "special" theme for your photography session, you can have a beautiful, natural photography session to capture this special time. I can either come to you, or we can meet at an outdoor location for your session. You may wish to bring something to mark the special occasion, or you may prefer to have simple natural photographs. Cake smash family lifestyle photography session

I have had some families invite me into their homes to capture their baby's first birthday by having a cake smash for them. These sessions are set up by parents, not me , as I do not offer a bespoke cake smash photography package, so if you are interested in this please contact me to discuss it further, I will be more than happy to come along and photograph this for you.
