It seems like it was only just the Easter holidays and the next one is nearly upon us! School holidays can be expensive times keeping the children entertained, so I have put together my usual half term holiday blog of free local events and activities that will hopefully help you out this May. Animal Challenge - 31st May - Oakdale Library Don't miss out on the upcoming Animal Challenge event here Oakdale Library in conjunction with Upton Country Park! Not only will you discover fascinating information about our local creatures, but you'll also get to create your very own moving craft animal! it's going to be super fun! Hurry and secure your spot for Friday, May 31st from 10:30-11:30 am before they go! Suitable for age 5 -8 Message via their Facebook page to book your place. Big Branksome Play - Tuesday 28th May 2024 Join in for a day of exploration and imagination at Branksome Community Centre on the 28th of May from 11am to 2pm! This event is suitable for all ages, from 0 to 99 years old. Best of all, entry is FREE, and no booking is required! Embark on a journey of creativity and discovery with a plethora of weird and wonderful items centred around the themes of harbour life, shipwreck, and setting sail. Let your inner adventurer thrive through child-led play, where the possibilities are endless. Pack a picnic and make it a full day of fun! The Parks Foundation FREE May eventsAs usual the parks foundation have their jam packed monthly schedule of events, some of which take place during half term week. There are many more I have just shared a few of the locations with you that have some half term events on. You can find out more on the parks foundation website. Park Yoga - Poole Park. Every Sunday Join in for FREE Park Yoga. Every Sunday from 5th May until 15th September. 9.30am - 10.30am. Look out for the Park Yoga flag. No need to book. Bring a mat or towel. Visit the Park Yoga Poole Facebook page for more information. MC Grammar - Ensbury Park Library - Tuesday 28th May A FREE live screening from the Hay Festival of MC Grammar! Join in the Ensbury Park Library Garden Room on Tuesday 28th May at 2.30pm. Suitable for families and children age 6+ No need to book. Bournemouth Library free crafts FREE Puppetry Workshop - Blandford - Friday 31st May The Artori Academy is very proud to host a FREE puppetry workshop by West End Professionals, Parker Puppetry! The puppetry team behind Avenue Q, with a number of West End credits to their name - The Wizard of Oz, Six and Jersey Boys. There are only TWENTY PLACES available, and we hope that the attendees would be interested in seeing what The Artori Academy has to offer our students! Make sure you book your space.
